Letter from [J. Howard Woolmer] to Laura Jackson, 1977-01-23
"As I mentioned in the phone I delayed writing until I could look at the typescripts in the Berg Collection. I've now estimated a total number of about 74,000 words. There wasn't any time at the Berg, however, to actually study the typescripts so I'm afraid that I'm going to have to ask you to send me some copies."
Letter from Laura Jackson to J. Howard Woolmer, 1977-02-02
"I will send you the material fairly soon, I am sorry you had the extra task of going to the Library to inspect the typescripts - I would have sent them at call, of course. I habe not yet got to specific comment on the individual pieces. I have my first general-writing part of the introduction written, in which I generalize on the nature of things as involving what the curiosity of my coming into posession of these mss. involves."
Letter from [Laura Jackson] to J. Howard Woolmer, 1978-04-22
"You have yet had from me a proper acknowledgement of the copy of the so thorough coverage of the bibliography project that your letter to Alan Clark was. I was entirely pleased by it, your comments on the problems as envisaged by you, and on the part you saw possible for yourself."
